The Savvy Cruiser's SeaDream-at-a-Glance
SeaDream's two luxury ships -- SeaDream I and SeaDream II -- are remembered fondly by many cruisers as SeaGoddess I and II. These two yacht-like ships ultimately wound up in the hands of Carnival Corporation, which in 2001 sold them to the founder of the luxury Seabourn Cruise Line. The vessels were renovated, and a handful of large suites were added reducing the capacity of each to 110 passengers. SeaDream boasts of its flexible itineraries, where the captain has authority to make an unscheduled call at a small port to visit the fish market, or to linger longer for a few more hours of watersports in a secluded bay.
